Warholian palette test

see 'Warholian palette test' at deviantART

Created especially for the Abstract Colours Contest. Because the form is repeated, the focus falls on the changing colour palette as the eye saccades across the motifs.

Always a major thrill to stumble upon a new framework. Not spherical/curl/mobius-juliascope, nor GlynnSim, nor flux: this is log.

Blemished geomatria

Harry Haller's magic theatre

see 'Harry Haller's magic theatre' at deviantART

Inspired by the hallucinatory denouement of Hermann Hesse's 'Steppenwolf'. Whilst the theatre is described as a horseshoe-shaped corridor with many doors, I've used artistic licence to depict a four-fold vision of an infinitely long straight corridor as the atmosphere felt perfect.

Forest snitterfields

see 'Forest snitterfields' at deviantART

From 'The Meaning of Liff':

SNITTER (n.)
One of the rather unfunny newspaper clippings pinned to an office wall, the humour of which is supposed to derive from the fact that the headline contains a name similar to that of one of the occupants to the office.

SNITTERBY (n.)
Someone who pins snitters (q.v.) on to snitterfields (q.v.) and is also suspected of being responsible for the extinction of virginstows (q.v.)

SNITTERFIELD (n.)
Office noticeboard on which snitters (q.v.),cards saying 'You don't have to be mad to work here, but if you are it helps !!!' and slightly smutty postcards from Ibiza get pinned up by snitterbies (q.v.)

Blade

see 'Blade' at deviantART

Pure Apophysis using the Crop plugin to create the 'frame'. Its effect is subtly different from simply cropping and adding an artificial 1 px frame as the fractal appears to have smeared itself out against an invisible barrier.
