My entry for the Back to basics contest:
"You MUST include a basic geometric shape (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, ect) somewhere in your fractal (rectangular frames do NOT count on this) and/or you must also show a basic concept of fractal art (self-similarity, iterations, spirals, julia forms, mandelbrots, etc)"
Three transforms (2 linear, 1 julian), aiming for strong self-similarity down the scales. To bring the 'basics' right up to date, the colouring has been greatly enhanced using xaos. No sharpening was necessary, besides which that would render the piece ineligible!
